Heritage Medical Group is here to help you understand your billing and finance questions. We understand that insurance and health plans can be very complicated and hard to understand and we are here to help.

Please understand that as a patient, you are responsible for paying all fees, including co-payments, at the time of your visit. You are also responsible for any fees not covered by your insurance company. We participate in many health plans. Please see our Insurances Accepted section for a more complete listing.

Here are some helpful hints:

  • Try to understand the benefits your insurance health plan provides for physician office visits. While our staff is familiar with some common plans, it is your responsibility to know what services are covered. If you are unsure, check with your employer or call your insurance company.
  • Present your insurance or health plan card at each visit.
  • Know whether your doctor, as a member of Heritage Medical Group, is a participating provider with your insurer or health plan.
  • If you are a member of a participating plan at the time of your visit, be prepared to pay any co-pay amount and for any non-covered services.
  • Your insurance company will tell you if you owe additional payment for deductibles or coinsurance.
